Advocating for Children's Rights

As you know, more and more children are entering the court system. They may face juvenile charges, be involved in child protection cases, be caught up in divorce, custody and other family law matters, need emancipation proceedings or otherwise be involved in the judicial system. What you may not know is children are also caught up in the administrative system, as well, dealing with government bureaucracies on issues of education, MaineCare, employment matters and more. Regardless of the circumstances, children today are more in need of high-caliber representation than ever. We hope that this page and its links will give you the tools to being an effective kids advocate.
